Sheerness Dockyard Preservation Trust were delighted to again be invited to participate in this years Island Schools Arts Festival held at Oasis Academy in Sheerness on 26 June 2019. The Festival was attended by over 300 children from 10 Sheppey Primary schools who joined Oasis students for a whole day of creative activities and participatory performances.

At the Sheerness Dockyard Preservation Trust stand children were invited to think about what business they might run from a 'business pod' in our new enterprise centre when it opens.

The 70 children that took part were full of great ideas and used colour and cut worksheets to create their mini paper pods, designed for the day by our project architects Hugh Broughton Architects.

The day was funded by the Sheppey Cultural Education Partnership and organised by Chantelle Crofskey at Oasis Academy.
